The Term Life insurance cover that is offered by MetLife Australia will pay out a lump sum benefit of cash in the event of the insured’s death or terminal illness diagnosis.

MetLife Australia’s Term Life insurance cover plan will pay out a lump sum cash benefit to a nominated beneficiary should the insured pass away. This cover also pays a lump sum benefit to the insured should they become diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Term Life cover may be purchased as a stand-alone plan or in conjunction with TPD (Total and Permanent Disablement) and / or Trauma riders. The benefits of this offering can include:

  • Death and Terminal Illness (life cover)
  • Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) Option
  • Single TPD Option
  • Double TPD Option
  • Advance Funeral Benefit

Should the policy holder select the Total and Permanent Disability option, a lump sum will also be payable if the insured becomes totally and permanently disabled.

The Term Life cover protects policy holders worldwide, 24 hours per day, provided that the policy’s premium and associated fees are paid when they are due. This cover can last until the annual renewal date following the date that insured reaches the age of 99.
