OnePath OneCare Trauma Cover

OnePath

The Trauma Cover from OnePath will pay out a lump sum, or equivalent instalments, if the insured is diagnosed with a specified medical condition.

OneCare Trauma Cover from OnePath is designed to pay the insured policy holder a lump sum, or equivalent monthly instalments, should the insured be diagnosed with a certain covered medical condition. These conditions may include cancer, heart attack, coronary artery by-pass surgery, or stroke.

Features that are built into the Trauma Cover plan include:

  • Future Insurability - Should the needs of the insured change, OnePath will allow the policy holder to increase their level of cover without the need to supply additional medical information.
  • Indexation - In order to ensure that the insurance levels increase each year with the cost of living, OnePath will increase the cover amount every year by 5% or the Consumer Price Index, whichever is the greater amount.
  • Premium Freeze - Trauma premiums typically will increase each year in line with the policy holder’s age and the Consumer Price Index. Therefore, if the insured would prefer that their premium remain the same, they may choose to use the Premium Freeze option which will also gradually reduce the amount of the sum insured.
