TAL Accelerated Protection Life Insurance

TAL

The Accelerated Protection Life Insurance policy from TAL will pay out a lump sum in the event that the insured dies or is diagnosed with a terminal illness.

With TAL’s Accelerated Protection Life Insurance cover, the insured or their nominated beneficiary is paid a lump sum cash benefit if the insured passes away or is diagnosed with a covered terminal illness.

In addition to the payment for death or terminal illness, there are a variety of features included on the Accelerated Protection Life Insurance plan from TAL, including:

  • Advanced Payment Benefit – The advanced payment benefit will pay an amount of 10% of the sum insured – up to a maximum of $25,000 – as soon as TAL receives the death certificate or the medical certificate confirming the death of the insured.
  • Repatriation Benefit – This benefit will increase the Advanced Payment Benefit to $35,000 if the insured dies while he or she is overseas.
  • Inflation Protection Benefit – The Inflation Protection Benefit will allow an annual automatic increase to the insured’s cover amount that is in line with the Consumer Price Index or 5% – whichever is greater.

Applicants may apply for TAL’s Accelerated Protection Life Insurance as early as age 16 and as late as either age 60 or 75, depending on the type of premiums that are paid on the policy.
