Trauma Insurance Reinstatement Options
Can I make multiple claims on the trauma insurance if I was diagnosed with two conditions at different times?
If you were interested in making multiple claims on your trauma insurance plan, this is possible. For example, someone who was to suffer a major head trauma, may potentially get diagnosed with cancer 12 months later (hypothetically speaking).
Within a trauma insurance policy, there is an additional cost benefit which you can attach to your trauma cover plan where it enables you to make multiple claims. This is called the ‘Trauma Re-instatement Option’.
Trauma Insurance Re-instatement Option
Once you have already made a claim and it has been paid, it allows you to buy-back your trauma insurance plan after 12 months. Therefore, after 12 months of the previous claim being paid you can make another claim (provided that you suffer another critical illness after the 12 month period).
