CommInsure is part of the Commonwealth Bank, which was founded in 1911 and is one of the largest listed companies in Australia. Originally the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society, the CommInsure name was established in 2002.
CommInsure offers a variety of personal insurance products, including:
- Income Protection: CommInsure’s Income Care replaces up to 75% of your income if you become ill or injured and unable to work.
- Critical Illness Cover: CommInsure’s Critical Illness cover provides a lump sum benefit payment if you are diagnosed with a serious critical illness like cancer, stroke or major heart problems.
- Life Cover: This cover provides a lump sum payment to your nominated beneficiaries in the event that you pass away or are diagnosed with a terminal illness.
- Total and Permanent Disability Cover: CommInsure’s Total and Permanent Disability, or TPD, cover provides lump sum benefit should you become seriously ill or injured and no longer able to work.
